Steered by a selection committee of some of today’s leading figures in contemporary art from East Asia, the residency provided artists currently living and working in East Asia with an opportunity to live and work in one of New York City’s most vital cultural hubs.

Balkan Projects Residency
Active from 2019 to 2020, this residency was open to artists living and working in the Balkans. The residency was supported by Balkan Projects, an organization dedicated to the promotion of Balkan contemporary art throughout the world. Balkan Projects was founded in 2017 by Serbian philanthropist and actress Marija Karan.
